| When I arrived at the main exhibit area there was a raptor display in-progress. This is an American kestrel, the smallest and most common falcon. I've seen kestrels in the wild, hovering over a field while they waited to attack their prey. | ||

| A red-tailed hawk. The woman handling the bird said that this bird had been injured, so it was no longer able to feed itself in the wild. The bird was very skittish, especially when it heard the school buses that were delivering visitors to the exhibit area. | ||
